Selara is a prayer journal app developed by Kai Digital Studio. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Information We Collect

• Account information: your email address and display name when you create an account
• Prayer and journal content: entries, prayers, and reflections you create within the app
• Circle data: prayer circles you create and the members you invite
• Notification preferences: your reminder settings and notification token

How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to provide the Selara app experience — storing your journal entries, enabling prayer circles with people you invite, and sending prayer reminders you request. We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising.

End-to-End Encryption

Your personal prayer content — including prayer text, journal reflections, answered prayer notes, and the names of people you pray for — is encrypted on your device before it is stored. We use AES-256 encryption with a key derived from your password. This means that even Kai Digital Studio cannot read your prayer content. Your encryption key is never transmitted to our servers in a form we can access.

Please note: if you lose access to your account and cannot remember your password, your encrypted content may be unrecoverable. Prayer circles are shared spaces and are not end-to-end encrypted.

Third-Party Services

Selara uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase — database and authentication (data stored in the United States). Your prayer content is stored encrypted and cannot be read by Supabase or by us.
• Expo — push notification delivery
